One of Panama’s most respected film production companies, Vertical Media continues to produce content both in and outside Panama.  Our most recent production was Sin Pepitas en La Lengua, a Panamanian comedy that was launched successfully in theaters in august 2018 and is one of Panama’s best reviewed films of all time.   Our biggest and most international production is the feature film “Hands of Stone” that tells the life and career of the Panamanian boxer Roberto “Mano de Piedra” Durán. Vertical Media is under the direction of Carlos García de Paredes, who has been an associate producer on the films “Chance” by Abner Benaim, “Elsa and Fred” by Michael Radford, “Gloria” by Christian Keller. He was co-executive producer of the film “Dark Places”, directed by Gilles Paquet Brenner and starring Charlize Theron, and producer of “Hands of Stone” directed by Jonathan Jakubowicz, starring Robert de Niro and Edgar Ramírez.  His most recent production wrapped principal photography in November 2018.  Is the film Resistance, a World War II drama starring Jesse Eisenberg as the legendary mime Marcel Marceau.
